Town Council Meeting

October 20, 2020


Members Present: Mayor Ken Hamilton, James Coachman, Michael Capehart, Ann Adams, and Kenneth Hart

Members Absent:  

Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.   Mayor Hamilton open meeting with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Council Member Adams made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from council meeting on September 22th and workshop on October 06th and except the minutes as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Coachman and the motion was approved unanimously.

Approval for the September financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member Hart made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Coachman and the motion was approved unanimously.

Mayor Hamilton presented the fire report for the month of September.  Total of 08 calls for the month of September. 

Colonel Smith presented the police reports for the month of September.  There were a total of 216 calls for service, 12 reports written, 0 medical assists, 17 traffic warnings issued, 07 traffic citations issued, 9 traffic warrant, 0 drug arrest, 1 felonies, 3 misdemeanor, 13 Arrests Made and 16 auxiliary hours.

*Mayor discussed the lease agreement between the Town and Stacy McCardle.

*Debris pickup October 26th.

*Discussion on the broken value on the chlorinator leak.

*Discussion on the Cottonwood Cemetery.

Mayor replied that he has enjoyed working with everyone and he hoped all goes well with the next Council.

Council Member Adams also replied that she had enjoyed working with everyone.

There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Hart to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Adams and the meeting was adjourned at 6:16 P.M.
