Town Council Meeting

October 15, 2019


Members Present: Mayor Ken Hamilton, James Coachman, Linda Smith, Ann Adams, and Kenneth Hart

    

Members Absent:  Michael Capehart

 

Mayor Ken Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Mayor Hamilton opened our meeting with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Council Smith made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from council meeting on September 17th and workshop October 01ST  and approved them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

Approval to the September financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member Coachman made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

Mayor Hamilton presented the fire report for the month of September.  Total of 13 calls for the month of September.

 

Colonel Smith will present the police report for the month of September next meeting.

 

Approval to renew rental tax agreement with AVEN Insights & Analytics LLC.  Council Member Adams made a motion to approve and renew rental tax agreement with AVEN Insights & Analytics LLC.  A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

Approval for Augusta to attend Municipal Election School with University of Alabama at Gulf Shores Al.  Cost of the classes is $285.00 December 3rd thru 6th.   Council Member Coachman made a motion to approve Augusta to attend Municipal Election School with University of Alabama at Gulf Shores Al.  Cost of the classes is $285.00 December 3rd thru 6th.   A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved

unanimously.

 

Council Member Smith wants to plant some flowers at the Welcome Sign.

 

Mayor Hamilton replied Coach Butler will be doing a landscape class at the park.

 

Halloween will be on the 31th and treat or treat will be held from 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

 

There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Hart to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Adams and the meeting was adjourned at 6:16 P.M.
