Town Council Meeting

April 16, 2019

Members Present: Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart, James Coachman, Ann Adams, Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart
Members Absent:  
Mayor Ken Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Mayor Hamilton opened our meeting with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Council Smith made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council meeting, March 19th and workshop April 02nd and approved them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.
Approval to waive the March financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member Coachman made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.
Mayor Hamilton presented the fire report for the month of March.  There was an estimate 7,000 gallons of water used for the month of March.  Total of 8 call for the month.
Colonel Smith presented the police report for the month of March.  Colonel Smith reported there were 237 calls for service, 8 reports written, 0 medical assists, 29 traffic warnings issued, 09 traffic citations issued,  2 traffic warrant, 0 drug arrest, 0 felonies, 0 misdemeanor and 8 auxiliary hours. 
The Council and Mayor wanted to congratulate Jim Smith on being appointed a Life Member of the International Association of Chiefs.
Mayor Hamilton announced that CDG will be start the bidding in July for Dyras Road.   
*Still waiting on D.O.T. for the repaving of Houston Street.
*State Line Road is still being repaired.
*Stop Sign down on Granger and Rail Road
*Debris pick up on 29th & 30th of April.
There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Adams to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Smith and the meeting was adjourned at 6:24 P.M.
