Town Council Meeting
December 18, 2018

Members Present: Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart, James Coachman, Ann Adams Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart

Mayor Ken Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Mayor Hamilton opened our meeting with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.


Council Smith made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council Meeting, November 19th and workshop December 04th and approved them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Coachman and the motion was approved unanimously.


Approval to waive the November financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member Adams made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Capehart and the motion was approved unanimously.


Mayor Hamilton presented the monthly fire report for November.  The fire department responded to 12 calls of service, 1 Passenger vehicle fire, 1 Outside rubbish fire, 1 Medical Assist EMS, 2 Motor vehicle accident, 2 Motor vehicle accident with no injuries, 1 Hazardous condition, 1 Power line down, 1 Arcing, shorted electrical equipment, 1 Person in distress, 1 Dispatched & cancelled.  There was an estimated 1,250 gallons of water that was used.


Colonel Smith presented the police report for the month of November.  Colonel Smith reported there were 156 calls for service, 06 reports written, 0 medical assists, 31 traffic warnings issued, 09 traffic citations issued,  1 traffic warrant, 3 drug arrest, 0 felonies, 4 misdemeanor and 8 auxiliary hours.


Approval for Kathy Brelore to move a mobile home to 1815 Dryas Road, Council Member Adams made a motion for the mobile home to be moved in at 1815 Dyras Road.  A second by Council Member Hart and the motion was approved unanimously.


*Christmas dinner hosted by Harper Joy AG Church at 5:30 at the Cottonwood Senior Center everyone is invited dine in or carry out.


*Cake Auction – December 20th  from 10am – 1:30


*Next Meeting Jan. 8th @ 6:00.


There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Coachman to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Adams and the meeting was adjourned at 6:14 P.M.
