Town Council Meeting

Members Present: Mayor Ken Hamilton, James Coachman, Ann Adams, Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart
    
Members Absent: Michael Capehart
 
Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Council Member Coachman opened our meeting with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Council Smith made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council Meeting, January 16th and Workshop, February 06th and approved them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.
 
January financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member Hart made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Coachman and the motion was approved unanimously.
 
Fire Chief Hall presented the monthly fire report for January.  The fire department responded to 17 calls of service in the month of January. There was an estimated 20,350 gallons of water that was used. Fire Chief Hall wanted to thank Co Caption Hughes, Mayor Hamilton and the Town Clerk and every one that helped on the grant.
 
Colonel Smith presented the police report for the month of January.  Colonel Smith reported there were 196 calls for service, 09 reports written, 0 medical assists, 23 traffic warnings issued, 10 traffic citations issued, 5 arrests made, 2 traffic warrants, 0 drug arrests, 0 felonies, 3misdemeanors and 4 auxiliary hours.
 
Discussion on a new truck for the water department. After discussion Council Member Adams made a motion to approve a new truck from the Ford Company, 2018 F250 for the amount of $25,191.50. A second by Council Member Smith and the motion approved unanimously.
 
Discussion on the BILL on Golf Carts.
 
Council Member Adams had a compliant on the Cottonwood Ambulance and Recue. 
 
*Compliant about dogs on Rail Road Street.
*Down home county fest.
*Reminder:  Robert Rules of order will be applied in our meeting.
 
There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Hart to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Coachman and the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
