Town Council Meeting
January 16, 2018
 
 

Members Present:  James Coachman, Ann Adams, Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart

    

Members Absent: Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart

 

Mayor Pro-Tem Coachman opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Mayor Pro-Tem led our meeting with a prayer.  Mayor Pro-Tem and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Council Member Smith made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council Meeting, October 17th and Workshop, November 07th and approved them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Coachman and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

December financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member Smith made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

Co Caption Paul Hughes presented the monthly fire report.  The fire department responded to 15 calls of service in the month of December. There was an estimated 3,500 gallons of water that was used.

 

Colonel Smith presented the police report for the month of December.  Colonel Smith reported there were 190 calls for service, 04 reports written, 0 medical assists, 26 traffic warnings issued, 10 traffic citations issued, 3 arrests made, 1 traffic warrants, 1 drug arrests, 0 felonies, 0 misdemeanors and 0 auxiliary hours.

 

National Weather report freezing until lunch tomorrow.

There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Hart to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Adams and the meeting was adjourned at 6:12 P.M.
