Town Council Meeting
October 17, 2017
Members Present:   Mayor Ken Hamilton, Ann Adams, Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart
Members Absent: James Coachman, Michael Capehart
Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Mayor Hamilton led our opening with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Council Member Smith made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council Meeting, September 19th and Work shop, October 09th and approved them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.
September financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member Hart made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.
Fire Chief Randy Hall presented the monthly fire report.  The fire department responded to 14 calls of service in the month of September. There was an estimated 10,000 gallons of water that was used.
Colonel Smith presented the police report for the month of September.  Colonel Smith reported there were 164 calls for service, 6 reports written, 0 medical assists, 34 traffic warnings issued, 4 traffic citations issued, 3 arrests made, 2 traffic warrants, 1 drug arrests, 0 felonies, 0 misdemeanors and 0 auxiliary hours.
Sabrina Adams reported there is going to be a meeting on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Rescue building.
Flu shots sign up by Oct 18th at the senior Center.
Discussion on the grocery store.  HOPES ARE STILL HIGH THAT MR. PETAL WILL COME THROUGH.
There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Smith to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Adams and the meeting was adjourned at 6:46P.M.
