Town Council Meeting

Members Present:   Mayor Ken Hamilton, James Coachman, Michael Capehart, Ann Adams, Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart

    

Members Absent:

 

Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Council Member Coachman led our opening with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Council Member Coachman made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council Meeting, July 18th and August 01st and approved them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

July financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk. Council Member

Adams made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member                   Capehart and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

Fire Chief Randy Hall presented the monthly fire report.  The fire department responded to 6 calls of service in the month of July. There was an estimated 16,000 gallons of water that was used.

 

Chief Money presented the police report for the month for July.  Chief reported there were 280 calls for service, 04 reports written, 0 medical assists, 21 traffic warnings issued, 17 traffic citations issued, 0 arrests made, 0 traffic warrants, 0 drug arrests, 0 felonies, 1 misdemeanors and 0 auxiliary hours.

 

Captain Penny Quattlebaum presented the monthly Ambulance & Rescue report for July.  The Ambulance & Rescue responded to 46 calls of service in the month of July. There were 01 break in, 10 service calls (consist of lift assist ), 3, assaults, 3 structure fires, 2 suicide threats, 1DOA, 23 medical calls,  MVC (motor vehicle crash).

 

*Congratulation to Cottonwood Ambulance & Rescue there building is paid off in full.

 

Approval for 4 tires for Police Officer Mitch Murkerson vehicle#1301 from A-One $615.55.  Council Member Coachman made a motion to approval for 4 tires for Police Officer Mitch Murkerson. A second by Council Member Hart and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

Discussion on grocery store.

 

There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Hart to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Coachman and the meeting was adjourned at 6:33 P.M.
