Town Council Meeting
February 22, 2017

Members Present:   Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart, James Earl Coachman, Ann Adams, Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart

Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Council Member Coachman led our opening with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.


Council Member Hart made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council Meeting January 17th and workshop on February 04th to approve them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.


January financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk.  Council Member Coachman made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.


Deputy Chief Hughes presented the fire report for January 2017. The Fire Department responded to 10 calls for service. An estimated of 20,000 gallons of water was used during the month on January.     


Colonel Smith presented the police report for the month for January.  There were 315 calls for service, 07 reports written, 0 medical assists, 15 traffic warnings issued, 06 traffic citations issued, 06 arrests made, 03 traffic warrants, 03 drug arrests, 0 felonies, 0 misdemeanors and 4 auxiliary hours.


Mayor announced that Joe Cook Street left station is working.


Houston County pick up debris will be January 26th.


There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Adams made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Coachman and the meeting was adjourned at 6:20 P.M.
