Members Present:   Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart, James Coachman, Linda Smith, Ann Adams and Kenneth Hart  

 

Members Absent: None

 

Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M. Mayor Hamilton opened meeting with a prayer. Mayor and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

*Cottonwood Rescue used 7,183 gallons of water for the month of January.

 

*Approval for mobile home to be moved to 8650 South Co Rd 55 for Bobby Dickerson. Council Member Adams made a motion to approve for mobile home to be moved to 8650 South So Rd 55 for Bobby Dickerson.  A second by Council Member Coachman and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Approval to appoint Randy Hall as our new Fire Chief with no pay.  Council Member Coachman made a motion to appoint Randy Hall as our new Fire Chief with no pay.   A second by Council Member Capehart and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Approval to have fire hydrant testing done by SEMS Fire Protection for the amount of $2,400.00 and split between Fire Dept. and the Town.  Council Member Smith made a motion to approve to have fire hydrant testing done by SEMS Fire Protection for the amount of $2400.00 and split between Fire Dept. and the Town. A second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Approval for the fire dept. to purchase a part for engine #3 for around $950.00.  Council Member Coachman made a motion to approval for the fire dept. to purchase a part for engine #3 for around $950.00.  A second by Council Member Hart and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Discussion on Metcalf drain problem at Van Granger property.

 

*Approval to except Resolution #2017-001.  Council Member Adams made to approve Resolution #2017-001.  A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*The next Houston County debris pick up will be February 23.  Last month debris pick up was $300.00.

 

*AT 6:23 p.m. APPROVAL TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SECTION.  Council Member Smith to approval to go into executive section.  A second by Council Member Hart and the motion was approved unanimously.
