Town Council Meeting
January 17, 2017

Members Present:   Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart, James Earl Coachman, Ann Adams, Linda Smith and Kenneth Hart


Members Absent:


Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.  Council Member Smith led our opening with a prayer.  Mayor Hamilton and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.


Council Member Coachman made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes from Council Meeting December 20th and workshop on January 03st, to approve them as presented.  There was a second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.


December financial reports were presented to the Council by the Town Clerk.  Council Member Smith made a motion to approve the reports as presented.  A second by Council Member Hart and the motion was approved unanimously.


Deputy Hughes presented the fire report for December 2016. The Fire Department responded to 09 calls for service.    


Colonel Smith presented the police report for the month for December.  There were 190 calls for service, 03 reports written, 0 medical assists, 11 traffic warnings issued, 04 traffic citations issued, 0 arrests made, 0 traffic warrants, 0 drug arrests, 0 felonies, 0 misdemeanors and 0 auxiliary hours.


Council Member Adams asked if the outside light on Metcalf Street and Houston if it was too bright.


Houston County pick up debris will be January 26th.


There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Capehart made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Hart and the meeting was adjourned at 6:14 P.M.
