Members Present:   Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart, James Coachman, Linda Smith, Ann Adams and Kenneth Hart  

 

Members Absent: None

 

Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M. Mayor ask for everyone to keep the families of Cason’s and Long’s in your prayers.   Council Member Coachman opened meeting with a prayer. Mayor and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

*Cottonwood Rescue used 7,101 gallons of water for the month of December.

 

*Approval to appoint the Town’s Attorney as Preston Register for 4 years term. Council Member Smith made a motion to approve to appoint the Town’s Attorney as Preston Register for 4 years term.   A second by Council Member Hart and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Discussion on adding a line number (18) to the rules on the deed for cemetary plots.  Number (18) will read: An 18”X 18” crematory vault shall be allowed in the same plot as long as it is a spouse.  No children or siblings. The crematory vault must also be 18” below the surface and placed at the foot of the existing vault.  The crematory fee of $100.00 shall remain in place.  Member Adams made a motion to except to adding line number (18) to the rules on the deed for cometary plots (18) will read: An 18”X 18” crematory vault shall be allowed in the same plot as long as it is a spouse.  No children or siblings. *Discussion on rules and regulations to allow UTV and LSV on the road way.

 

There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Hart made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Smith and the meeting was adjourned at 6:23 P.M.
