Members Present:   Mayor Ken Hamilton, Michael Capehart, James Coachman, Linda Smith, Ann Adams and Kenneth Hart  

 

Members Absent: None

 

Mayor Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:00 P. M.   Council Member Coachman opened meeting with a prayer. Mayor and the Council led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

*Cottonwood Rescue used 2,474 gallons of water for the month of November.

 

*Mr. Jimmy Windsor addressed the council with his complaint against Chief Meadows.

 

*Houston County is donating property to the Town of Cottonwood on 10189 Hwy. 55.  Council Member Coachman made a motion to except the property on 10189 Hwy 55 donated from Houston County. A second by Council Member Adams and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Approval to pay Houston County for the debris for November pickup $600.00. Council Member Capehart made a motion to approve to pay Houston County for the debris for November pickup for $600.00.  A second by Council Member Smith and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Discussion to revise Ordinance #2016-010 on the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday within the city limits.  After discussion Council Member Capehart made a motion to except Ordinance #2016-010 on the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.  A second by Council Member Coachman and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

*Discussion on a Grocery Store.

 

*Discussion on possible rules and regulations to allow UTV and LSV on the road way.

 

*Discussion on problems with sewer at Van Granger home.

 

*Discussion on cleaning ditches behind Housing Authority.  (Private Property)

 

*Discussion on Christmas dinner Mayor wanted to Thank Council Member Drena Weaver for 18 years of service on the Town Council.

 

There being no further business to come before this meeting, there was a motion by Council Member Hart made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  A second by Council Member Capehart and the meeting was adjourned at 6:56 P.M.
